The League of Women Voters of Naperville has a busy September planned. Here’s where you can find us out in the community this month.

Monday, September 4, 10-11:30 a.m.: Naperville’s Labor Day Parade
Happy Labor Day! LWV Naperville members are donning red, white, and blue to march in the Jaycee’s parade!

Friday, September 15, 1-3 p.m.: Daytime Book Club
LWV members and non-members alike are invited to participate in our monthly book club. September’s selection is Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right by sociologist Arlie Russell Hochschild. We meet at the Pancake Cafe, located at 1292 Rickert Dr. in Naperville.

Wednesday, September 20, 7-9 p.m.: Illinois Budget or Band Aid?
Join us at the Naperville Municipal Center at 400 South Eagle Street for a panel discussion on the impact of the state’s recently adopted budget. Speakers include Illinois 41st District Representative Grant Wehrli, Illinois 84th District Representative Stephanie Kifowit, Indian Prairie School District 204 Board Member Susan Taylor-Demming, and K.
