DESCRIPTION:Join us for our IL 21st Senate Seat Candidate Forum on September 29th at 8:00 pm on Zoom.  \nLearn more about the candidates running for the Illinois 21st Senate seat and their views and answers to questions from the community. \n\nJulie Berkowicz (R )\nLaura Ellman (D) (Incumbent)\n\n** All candidates have been invited ** \nThis event is free\, but you must register: \nhttps://rebrand.ly/IL21-Senate \nIf the registration for the event exceeds the Zoom capacity\, you can watch it live on our Facebook page. After the event\, a video will be available on our YouTube channel. \nHow a Candidate Forum Works \n All candidate forums are run by trained\, non-partisan moderators. Equal time is given to all candidates to answer each question. \n Each candidate will have two minutes to present an opening statement\, in alphabetical order. \n Questions will be chosen in advance by the League for appropriateness and relevance from those solicited from League members as well as community members and non-partisan groups. \nThe moderator will ask questions in rotation so that each candidate has the opportunity to be the first to answer. Candidates will each have up to two minutes to answer each question. \nAfter the questions are completed\, each candidate will have two minutes to provide a closing statement. \nNo surrogates are permitted to participate. An uncontested forum\, that is\, one with only one candidate\, is not permitted.
