SUMMARY:Candidate Forum - DuPage County Board District 5 Primary
DESCRIPTION:Learn more about the candidates running for the DuPage County Board District 5 Primary and their views and answers to questions from the community. This Zoom event is on February 10th at 6:30 pm. \nSadia Covert (D) \nMarylee Leu (D) \nIan Holzhauer (D) \n** All candidates have been invited ** \nThis event is sponsored by  The League of Women Voters of Naperville. \nThis event is free\, but you must register: https://rebrand.ly/District5-forum.\n \nIf registration for the event exceeds the Zoom capacity\, you can watch it live on our Facebook page. After the event\, a video will be available on our YouTube channel. \nHow a Candidate Forum Works \nAll candidate forums are run by trained\, nonpartisan\, and out-of-district moderators. Candidates are given equal time to answer each question. \nEach candidate will have two minutes to present an opening statement alphabetically. \nQuestions will be chosen in advance by the League for appropriateness and relevance from those solicited from League members and community members. Questions are not shared with the candidates before the forum. \nThe moderator will ask questions in rotation so that a different candidate will have the opportunity to be the first to answer. Candidates will each have up to two minutes to answer each question. \nAfter the questions are completed\, each candidate will have two minutes to provide a closing statement. \nNo surrogates are permitted to participate. An uncontested forum\, that is\, one with only one candidate\, is not permitted. Should a candidate be legally disqualified from vote tabulation prior to our forum (as determined by their status on the State Board of Election Website or the result of legal action)\, that candidate will not appear in our forum per our forum ground rules. \nFor non-partisan election information\, visit VOTE411.
