How Disabled People Vote (It’s Not Always Easy)

September 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

LWV Naperville Ideas Forum

people-in-wheelchairs-promoting-voting.jpg When the average person heads to the polls, it’s usually an easy ‘in-vote-out’ process. However, even getting to a polling place can be difficult if you’re differently-abled.

Join us at September’s Ideas Forum on 9/11 at 7:00 pm via Zoom to learn about barriers and services available.

How do you fill out a ballot privately if you’re blind, unable to write, or can’t reach the polling booth’s desktop? Disability Voting Rights Week, which aims to raise awareness about the obstacles to voting for the disabled community, is September 9-13.

This event is free, but please register.
